alternate covers

I'm sure there was a thread about alternate covers a whiles back -perhaps it was lost in the great tea trolley disaster which shut down the board awhiles...
I can't remember if anybody mentioned that the japanese audiocassette of Live in Japan has a different picture -one with the girls in the same lineup but smiling.
(I'm sorry for boring you if they did.)
Now why was the one with them looking surly prefered on the album? Obviously for the 'image'.
Teddy talks about iconoclasts but the music business is all smoke and mirrors.
I see them as primarily seventeen year old girls and my heart still goes out to them.
I would have liked to go back in time and give them all a hug if they hadn't turned on their sweetest member.
Cherie was rated number 5 favourite female vocalist in japan at the time, ahead of people like Diana Ross.
Lets make sure justice always prevails on this board and we make it clear to her we rate her not number five but number one!
teddy and Gordie don't realise that every nice thing said here to her makes up -even in just a tiny way maybe -somewhat for all the hurts of the past.
We applaud you Cherie for coming through everything and creating such beautiful things for us. The hearts you captivated along the way are still beating in unison with your own dearest one.

Now that you speak of this, I went to look at my collection and did notice the 2 ( smiling and not smiling ) To be honest, I never even thought another thing of it. Cherie is definately a survivor thank GOD! To me Cherie is #1 for just surviving the ordeals that went on in her life. I read the book so that's how I know.

I wish I could see that alternate photo. It would be very interesting to see after all this time!
Several topics were lost a while back! The Great Tea Trolley disaster? So that was the cause huh? Just goes to show you. It's always something!
Cherie has always been #1 with me! I think when I first read 'Neon Angel' though is when she totally captivated my heart! When I finally got my 1st computer last year this was the 1st web-site I came to! When I saw that Cherie herself posted on this message board I couldn't believe it. I still can't!
And could she be any nicer? I don't thinks so!!!

Knight Jewel, I'm new to the group and agree 100% with your sentiments regarding Cherie. She has been through the worst and has lot to offer.
Every person Cherie can touch through art, music, counsleing etc can only be beneficial and pay great spiritual dividends.
